Today is meal prep and legs day for me. I try to work two body parts a day except for leg day. I do a mixture of weighted and body weight exercises. Exercises like squats, lunges, plyometric squat jumps, leg extension, and leg curls. I workout at home so there is are excuses like "I don't have a gym membership" or "I don't have any equipment". You don't need one. You can perform body weight exercises. I also jump rope. LOVE IT!! I try to jump everyday. Everything I do I started out slow and built up to it. Even with a background in fitness, I had to make a plan of what I wanted to do and stick to it with purpose.
As far as meal prep, I will write out what I plan to eat for the next few days (3 to be exact). I will prepare some chicken and veggies. I will eat some fish but I will not prepare that until the day I intend on eating it. I usually drink a protein shake in the mornings after my workout because its quick and easy and i can get showed and out the door. I add fruit and/or veggies to it like banana and spinach, its really good so don't knock it before you try it. :)
that is my breakfast of choice - 1 scoop protein powder, 1/2 or 1 whole small banana, 1 tbsp almond butter, 1 oz spinach leaves, 1 cup unsweetened almond milk and ice. Yum Yum! -- Tameka Tyler Coleman
